Meet Shanelle Dupree
Shanelle is a Strategic Connector with deep midwestern roots. She is an author, speaker, lawyer, executive director, course creator, adjunct law professor, wife, and mama of 4.
She is the creator and course instructor for SKIN DEEP: The History of Child Welfare by Race. She also serves as the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of the Racial Equity Collaborative, a social service non-profit focused on eliminating racial disparities in helping systems.
Shanelle is a TRUSTED ADVISOR. She was selected to serve on the Governor's Transition Team to access the social services system in the state of Kansas. Shanelle has served as a Campaign Director, Advisor, and Copywriter for multiple political campaigns. She has a way with words and is able to deliver clear and effective messaging. She has delivered testimony to various legislative committees regarding child welfare and juvenile justice.
Shanelle is a BIBLE STUDY TEACHER & ADJUNCT LAW PROFESSOR. She creatively engages any audience whether discussing God's word, teaching CINC 101: Parents for 5 years explaining the foster care system, or presenting about diversity equity, and inclusion issues within the system. Shanelle has taught hundreds of families the complex details of the foster care system offering hope, help, and humor.
As a former SOCIAL SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR for 5 years, Shanelle believes COMMUNITY SERVICE and BOARD MEMBERSHIPS are important attributes of a leader. She is a current board member of Oak Ridge Youth Development School, Board of Trustees member with the Kansas Bar Association, member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., and a member of several local legal bar associations.
